Pride & Prejudice

Last night I was watching Pride & Prejudice and as many times as I have seen it I have yet to tire of it. I love Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, swoon... how the movie starts with hate at first sight and ultimately Lizzie realizes it is not quite what it seems, its more. Omg.. the ending when Mr Darcy is crossing the field in that long coat so handsome and with look in his eye.

dress up

playing dress up... isn't this ring fun and fabulous? I picked up these gloves at at vintage shop yesterday and the ring was given to me by my fashionable daughter L. I would have loved to been born in the era where ladies dressed up to go out but, I have to be honest that being in this era I enjoy the combination of mixing my glam with my jeans and it makes me smile....

thrifting

I made this vest and trimmed vintage levi jacket set about ten years ago. My Dad who is the "Thrifting King" brought me two vintage minks he found and I made myself and my sister who lives in Austria a vest also. I love wearing my vest and it get compliments but I love it even more knowing its was thrifted by my Dad aka "Thrifting King" and recreated, designed and sewn by me.

I realize this is not a quality picture Of Audrey Hepburn but I was watching my favorite movie ever Breakfast at Tiffanys on sunday and I fell in love with this hat and I have a thrifted capelet that should be just enough. To know me is to know I love and wear hats...

I just saw this Prada fur vest for Winter 09 and and it makes me smile... I am looking for a old fur coat so I can make my version of this vest for this winter.

Sunday was a adventure day for L and I and I fell in love with this leather tuxedo style jacket, I am still dreaming about it....

We went to space15twenty and saw a DIY event by the bleachblack.com duo... not only are they totally awesome they are really hot looking. They generously shared tips, tricks and experience's on how to really create wonderful wearable outfits. I believe its Tanya at Urban please correct me if I am wrong on your name, I would like to give a "great job!" to her for putting this together and for being a fab host. We even went home with a instruction sheet to make four projects and a diy craft kit to make the key chain from bleachblack.com I am totally in love with the studded beanie... and check out that diy black shredded t-shirt Camille over at chilhood flames has a video tutorial check it out.
