Went to IMATS "International Make Up Artists Trade Show" this weekend it was awesome and I went to Kandee the Make Up Artists "Glaminars" I attended the Master and The Bridal and she is amazing and the Glaminars were as priceless as she is they were worth every cent I paid for both. Plus when I went to IMATS she scored even more discounts at some awesome vendors there and I was able to get some great product at insider's pricing, Yay!!!!. My daughter "L" & I had a amazing time and look soon at my daughters blog lposts the link is over there on my right column and she has a upcoming interview she did of Kandee at IMATS that will be coming out in a secret project my daughter is part of. I have to say I had a amazing weekend and came home with some awesome products I can't wait to use at "L's" photo shoots upcoming this week. The last few were amazing and I haven't even posted about them I have been so busy. But check out http://kandeethemakeupartist.blogspot.com/ she is amazing....
My daughter "L" has been busy with photo shoots this is a little snipet of the behind the scenes from my camera. She used a combination of our vintage collection of clothing and accessories. I love the way my vintage Mimi D Niscemi belt looks, Frye Boots, silk chemise, silk garters with knee socks, vintage red bedded jacket, classic top hat from my hat collection, hand beaded pink top. I have been having a blast and get to be her make-up artist. I used to be a make-up artist while in college so it has been fun. If you want to see more of the picture pop on over to my daughters blog there is a link over on the right.
I have such a fascination with lace-up anything, I think its so sexy plus I love the comfortable idea of being able to loosen my laces or cinching them up. I really like these shoes and I just saw them on the Jak & Jil Blog they always have the best pictures.
I have seen a few blogs postings of belt collections and I do have to admit I have quite a assortment. I love my jeans and flip flops and I love dressing up and my daily favorite is combining my high/low style of torn jeans and a lovely top and great shoes and belt. I also love a great suit with a beat up random t-shirt under it of course with a great belt. So I thought I would share a few of my daily favorites. Yes, I love shiny, rhinestones and my vintage designer stuff but I have to admit I love skulls too...
I am going to admit I impulsively bought these two pairs of booties last saturday. We went shopping and I was really annoyed, I don't like mall shopping on weekends. I wandered over to the shoe department and I saw these two pairs and I really feel in like with both of them. I am really into the peep-toe/booties right now. I tried them both on and they were both equally comfortable and I will admit I have Fred Flintstone's Momma's feet... my feet are not dainty at all they are wide sturdy feet, smile. I asked the salesman how much they were because there wasn't a price tag on either of the floor samples. So he came back and told me the grey Dolce Vitas were on sale for $40 and the creme colored Jeffrey Campbells were on sale for $70 plus if I bought two pairs I got a additional 30% off. I just stared at him because I thought he had made a mistake but, I jumped up so fast and told him to ring them up quickly I was in a rush I was afraid someone was going to tell me he made a mistake.
I went to Vegas on monday and decided to take them with me which was really daring because if you have been to Vegas you know the extreme amount of walking you do and to walk that much in new shoes usually ends up with some aching feet and a few blisters. I wore the grey ones with my navy pinstriped slack's and I wore and the creme booties with a black long tube skirt one day and with my vintage levi's another day, being able to wear them hi/lo gives me so much more pleasure. I have to say they were both so comfortable not even a blister plus I received so many compliments.
I saw the top picture and please forgive me because I can't remember where I found it! But I got so excited when I saw it because last year I found a great vintage pair of leather pants and I customized them for my daughter. So here in the bottom picture is my daughter wearing them a few months ago.
